Parichaya has been supporting capacity building of local governments and local elected representatives, local level decision makers, change agents, local communities including marginalized groups, women, adolescent girls, youth, dalits and ethnic minorities and stakeholders. The key areas of capacity building are institutional capacity building, skill enhancement, empowerment and knowledge management through different awareness programme, orientation, and training including social, leadership and technical, workshops, coaching and co-working. Orientation on and dissemination of constitutional provisions, Local Government Operation Act 2074, circulars from different ministries of Federal and provincial level, open dialogues on women/human rights, roles and responsibilities of duty bearers, gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) and importance of social transformation. The organizer/donor of programme are local government (DDC, Metropolitan city, Municipality) Women groups/mother groups, district NGOs, saving and credit cooperative, media, different networks. Enhanced knowledge of fifty six elected women representatives of Bharatpur Metropolitan for smooth performance as of their role and authority as of act and mechanism, Provided information of policy, mechanism and services of government/local government to disadvantage community including women and access in those services are achievements of capacity building. Likewise legal education of policy, legislation, meaningful participation in planning process training to disadvantage community increased disadvantage participation in tole level/ward level planning, Social mobilizer and women leaders of metropolitan, municipality has been facilitating local level programms with knowledge and skill of facilitation & advocacy. Organization involvement and contribution for consultative report, shadow report of Government such as CEDAW report, UNSCR, Beijing+ through civil society representatives are another achievements.
