Good Governance

Good governance is one of the foremost thematic areas of PARICHAYA. We believe in the fact that none of intervention is meaningfully effective without assurance of good governance at all levels. In order to achieve the good governance, Parichaya has been facilitating preparation of different strategy, guideline, policies and plans and building capacities for strengthening of governance especially at local and provincial level. Adequate consultation meetings, advocacy, open dialogues and citizen engagement are major approaches adopted to support good governance. Social audit of local government and Government Health Office based on Nepal Government Guideline, gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) budget audit GESI audit as of Government guideline-2068, accountability orientation, are organized for making the rights holders and duty bearers more responsible and transparent while conducting any development activities. Networking from grass root to Federal level established for Justice of raped case and women trafficking, consultative works on policy formulation and review is one of the important programme of organization. Some of achievements are; developed inclusive programme, GESI training with budget after GESI budget audit of local government (former District Development Committee) and municipality with acceptance of assessment marking and same way prepare work plan, field based programming for effective and inclusive services of another achievement of social audit. Furthermore, delivered orientation to staffs and political representatives on social accountability, governance for assurance of efficient and effective service delivery, involved in NGO desk operating guideline preparation of Bharatpur Metropolitan city and gender equality strategy plan preparation are our key actions.
